As the local branch of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood (POSI) in Rome, we are the international child welfare organisation of the Catholic Church in Germany. Learn more about how to apply for funding and implement projects for children with our support by browsing this website.
In 1846, 15-year-old Auguste von Sartorius was touched by the fate of children in China and Africa and founded an association in their support. Little did she know that the movement she sparked would bring forth a global children’s charity.
Our projects are as diverse as the children they serve. On any given day, thousands of children have access to food, education, physical and psychological rehabilitation, clean water and shelter thanks to the projects implemented by our project partners.
