From application to conclusionYour project in ten steps

Step 1
An idea for a project that will improve the lives of children is born.

Step 2
The project manager submits a project application to Kindermissionswerk. The application contains details about the project’s intended impact, the planned activities, the budget and financing.

Step 3
At Kindermissionswerk, the country desk officer studies the application.

Step 4
She (or he) asks the applicant to clarify any open questions.

Step 5
A committee of church-related development experts decides on the application. The committee meets four times a year.

Step 6
If the experts agree, the project is approved. Both sides, Kindermissionswerk and project holders, sign a contract.

Step 7
Project money is transferred from Kindermissionswerk to the project’s bank account.

Step 8
When a representative of Kindermissionswerk visits its partners, they discuss the project progress, challenges and possible improvements.

Step 9
Project partners report regularly about the progress of the project, any difficulties met and adjustments they plan to make.

Step 10
Upon completion of the project, the project manager writes a final report, explaining how the money was spent and how the lives of local children have been improved. Kindermissionswerk studies the final report. If the report is approved, the project is closed.
